Walnut Dining Chair

Details: This chair was made as a set of six to match a dining room table. The shaped back, upholstered seat, and slight backwards tilt combine to make the chair comfortable even while sitting for long periods of time. The legs are attached to the rails using loose tenons, which were pinned on one side and drawbored on the other. These pins were made from a lighter species of wood to provide contrast. Subtle curves and tapers provide additional interest to the piece.
